Children's Program
Our Children's Program consists of a comprehensive curriculum of personal safety, body awareness and self-defence for children. We focus on making classes enjoyable while teaching communication and respect.
Children learn how
- to avoid confrontation and de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.
- to fall safely whether it be on an icy road or from being pushed.
- to build self confidence.
- to build focus and concentration that can translate to better classroom comprehension and better grades.
In today's school climate the skills of violence avoidance and de-escalation are paramount to avoiding problems with School Administrations and Bullies. Fighting is not the answer to bullying, effective dialogue and the skills to avoid a physical confrontation are. Our Program offers your child an effective tool in their Personal Development Tool Box.
Grand River Aikido offers introductory classes at no charge.
