Grand River Aikido

Lee Darke at the Seidokan in Georgetown.
Grand River Aikido was established in June 2007 when Lee Darke, a student of Yoshinkan Aikido since 2001, joined forces with Sensei John Reel, Shodan and Scott Russell 2nd Dan, to bring the martial art to Fergus and surrounding area.
With the encouragement and assistance of the Seidokan dojo in Georgetown, Ont. and technical guidance from Sensei Fred Haynes 7th Dan and Jim Stewart 7th Dan, Sensei Reel and Darke started Wednesday night classes at the Fergus Sportsplex, offered to persons aged 15 or older.
Since then the dojo has grown and continues to grow and flourish.
The dojo is located at 45 Dawson Rd, Guelph. Please see the Directions page.
